Will came up to record with me for a week at my studio in Portland in November 2021. He rode the train up from Oakland - his preferred method of transportation. I hadn't seen him in a handful of years and didn't know it would be the last time I'd get to. I am beyond grateful I got to spend that week with him.

He was pretty exhausted from the outset. He had initially planned on recording ten songs but we only managed to finish two. At one point on day 2 or 3 he said, "Okay, I'm tired. Let's just hang out the rest of the week." So we spent the next few days playing with gear, listening to music and drinking coffee. Oh, and gossiping - Will loved his coffee and gossip.

Before he left he gave me stems to three songs he had recorded in the past so I sprinkled them with a little finishing salt and put them together with the two we recorded here for everyone to enjoy. Make sure to have some tissues nearby....
